Kim Kardashian has got very real about how her relationship with Kanye West has changed over the year leading up to her second pregnancy, saying it has drastically affected their sex life.

It took "over a year of trying" for the couple to conceive and Kim has previously revealed they'd been "having sex 500 times a day," pretty much anywhere they could. But she has now admitted that their strict ovulation-sex regime hasn't had the best impact on their love life. "Yes, it takes the fun out of it. I'm like, 'I'm ovulating, get home now!' He'd be like, 'Wait, I'm in the studio.'" she told C Magazine .

Kim has also explained that she has a condition called placenta accreta, where your placenta grows in the lining of your womb and into or through the womb muscle. It can be quite serious and increases risk of complications during birth, from serious bleeding to needing an emergency hysterectomy (surgery to remove your womb).

"I had so many complications," she says of her last pregnancy with North, "There were a couple of little operations to fix all that, so that created a little hole in my uterus, which I think made it really tough to get pregnant again."

Not only has it made it extra hard for the couple to conceive, it also means Kim could face having her uterus removed, "which is a little scary for me." For now, Kim says her and Kanye are "just gonna go day by day, see how overwhelming it is, and see how the delivery goes," before they make too many plans for the future.

The interview, by British photographer Amanda de Cadenet, also features some stunning topless black and white pics of Kim taken in the California desert.

Say what you want about Kim, but we can't help but feeling that the more women in the public eye who speak up about their struggles and complications with pregnancy, birth and motherhood, the less pressure there will hopefully be on women as a whole to conform to a "perfect" ideal of motherhood.
