In news that will make you tear up about how humans can be truly kind and good, a group of staff and volunteers from Orlando Shakespeare Theater worked together to build "Angel Wings" to block members of the hate group Westboro Baptist Church from protesting the funerals of the Orlando shooting victims.

American Theatre reports that and the Angel Action Wings Project have given white linen angel wings to volunteers with the intention of blocking mourners from seeing Westboro Baptist Church protestors and their awful, homophobic signs. The theater built the wings in their costume shop with help of donations, and pictures and videos of the angels arriving to shield the mourners is a gorgeous sight.

"I think our presence here is just to show support for the families of the victims and we want to make sure that we're an ally," said one supporter, Suzanne Draper, told the BBC.

I'm so sorry they're needed, but so thankful they exist.
